Join us for a discussion of the memoir Out of Africa by Danish author Karen Blixen (the book is also published under her pen name, Isak Dinesen). Blixen recounts life on her coffee plantation in Kenya in the early 1900s. Robert Redford and Meryl Streep star in the 1985 Academy Award-winning movie adaptation.

This social dance series will cover the basic footwork, rhythms, and style of rumba, foxtrot, waltz, tango, two-step, and East Coast swing. Come with or without a partner. Rotating partners is encouraged, as it significantly increases learning and retention. These classes are appropriate for all levels: no prior dance experience necessary. Leather or felt-soled shoes are best—no high heels, please, to protect the floor. Class size is limited to 24 people.
You may sign up on the PALM app under classes or by emailing Amanda Chesnutt at firstname.lastname@example.org. Non-members may sign up if they are the guest or partner of a member. The PALM Café will be open for dinner! Come early or stay after and enjoy a delicious meal.
