This workshop will explore themes related to effective communication between parents and their children. Kevin Cloninger will discuss why talking with a child or teen can be so difficult, due to a host of different developmental factors. For example, we will look at how brain development in childhood and adolescence influences listening, speech, and perception, and how parents can take this into account in order to communicate effectively with their children.
