In this art workshop, we’ll use Pablo Picasso’s “Bottle of Suze” as our inspiration. Both novice and experienced artists will enjoy stretching their creativity with Art for Well-Being instructor Maria Ojascastro. You’ll learn art history and design concepts and receive guidance on making your own unique work of art. Supplies needed: pencil, eraser, scissors, glue stick or glue, 2-3 magazines and/or newspapers, 2 pieces of paper from your printer or any color construction paper, an interesting bottle, and acrylic or watercolor paint.

Virtual Stop-Motion Video Camp

In this five-day stop-motion video camp with Art for Well-Being instructor Maria Ojascastro, participants will use their own iPad or iPhone to create stop-motion videos and art that’s ready to be displayed. Download “I Can Animate” on your iPad or “Stop Motion Studio” on your iPhone. Supplies needed: Please pull from your stash or purchase the following: model magic, oil pastels, pencil, eraser, scissors, black paper, white paper, black marker, acrylic paint, brushes, palette, jar of water, paper towels, plastic bag to cover the table, canvas boards, scissors, glue stick, and tape.

Virtual Painting Camp

In this five-day painting camp with Art for Well-Being instructor Maria Ojascastro, participants will take inspiration from master artists and learn techniques that they can use long after camp is over. Supplies needed: please pull from your stash or purchase the following: tempera or acrylic paint, brushes, palette knife, palette, plastic bag to cover the table, white paper, five canvas boards, scissors, glue stick, magazines, pencil, eraser, painters tape, or masking tape.

The Art of Community Creativity

Art for Well-Being instructor Maria Ojascastro will introduce different artists, techniques, subjects, design concepts, or prompts to inspire your creativity several days prior to this virtual class. Take a good photo of the artwork you are working on, email it to her at mojascastro@palmhealth.com, and you’ll receive feedback from Maria and the other art class participants during this 45-minute visual art class. If you don’t have anything to share yet, join anyway to stretch your creativity and connect with other PALM members.

All you need is a pencil, an eraser, paper from your printer, a dime, and colored pencils or watercolor pencils or markers. This is perfect for the shy artist who wants step-by-step instructions.

Get ready to experiment with watercolor, salt, spice, and liquid soap. Art for Well-Being instructor Maria Ojascastro will teach you elements of art and design, introduce you to the style of master artist Henri Matisse and contemporary artist Lance Whitner, and give you individualized instruction. Enjoy 1½ hours exercising your creativity and interacting with other PALM artists. If you don’t have watercolor paint, brushes, and paper, Blick Art Materials and Michael’s have curbside pickup (which may change with COVID-19 circumstances).

Boost your immunity by exercising your creativity and spending quality time with other PALM members. We’ll take inspiration from both French Impressionist Claude Monet and Pop Artist Rosalyn Drexler and create our own master mashup. Art for Well-Being instructor Maria Ojascastro will provide a lesson about art history, elements of art, and painting techniques. You’ll provide acrylic or watercolor paint, canvas or paper, and a fun beverage.

Get ready to boost your immunity by exercising your creativity. Art for Well-Being Instructor Maria Ojascastro will teach you how to paint four different strokes with whatever material you have at home. She will then walk you through step by step on how to create a strong composition. Maria will supply images to inspire, while you supply watercolor and paper, acrylic paint and canvas, nail polish and old folders, or any other painting materials you have at home. Don’t forget to have a fun beverage to keep it lively.

Take art into another dimension! In this sculpture workshop, you’ll use miniature boxes, found objects, and pre-printed text as a vehicle for creative expression. Art for Well-Being instructor, Maria Ojascastro, will provide examples, guidance, and materials, but participants are encouraged to bring small drawings, photos, or objects of meaning to include in their sculpture. Kombucha, tea, and wine will be available, along with light snacks and refreshments.
