Join us in the Oak Room for a pop-up class with Dr. Jason Biondo, chiropractor and Director of Fitness at PALM Health. This class will target movements that are foundational to building a healthy back and balanced core. Dr. Biondo will focus on spine stability, mobility, and endurance, as well as functional movements of the hips and lower body that demonstrate the kinetic linkage of the human body.
You know it. You’ve felt it. You’ve dealt with it. Low back pain can be a real downer, whether you’re feeling it when you’re sitting, standing, or moving around. You aren’t alone — low back pain is the second most common cause of disability in the US. Almost a third of American adults are afflicted with back pain, and among them, 85% suffer from low back pain that is non-specific, mechanical, and without a detectable cause.
Join us in the Oak Room for a pop-up HIIT and Mobility class with Maggie Loida, certified personal trainer. This High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) class includes an additional focus on mobility: quick, intense bursts of exercise are followed by short, sometimes active, recovery periods with stability centered movements. This pop-up class event will include a raffle, special surprise giveaways, participant gifts, energizing music, and an atmosphere of community and fun.
Myofascial release techniques can be a helpful addition to a regular exercise regime to help improve mobility, prevent injury, release tension, and aid in muscle recovery after exercise or movement. In this practical session with Heather Walther, PT, participants will learn self-myofascial release techniques from head to toe. Please wear comfortable clothing to move around. Participants must have the ability to get up and down from the exercise mat.
