Both shy and experienced artists are invited to express themselves with color and texture while learning non-figurative painting. Art for Well-Being instructor Maria Ojascastro will teach you how to blend acrylic paint to create secondary and tertiary colors. Then she will challenge you to experiment with a palette knife, plastic fork, and aluminum foil to create a non-figurative painting inspired by the work of Amy Sillman. Enjoy 90 minutes of creativity to exercise your brain and boost your mood while receiving personalized instruction.

Sip ‘n Focus on Form

Shy as well as confident artists are invited to enjoy the benefits of two hours of creativity. Art for Well-Being instructor Maria Ojascastro will show beginners how to break down organic forms into geometric forms, then add texture and color to bring it to life. More experienced artists will be given an extra challenge to make their negative space unique to their mood or personality. Coffee, kombucha, tea, and wine will be available, along with some light snacks and refreshments.

Sip ‘n Paint: Focus on Texture

Learn how to emphasize texture in painting. In this art workshop, participants will experiment with acrylic paint, modeling paste, and other additives to bring subtle texture to the painting they create. PALM Health’s Art for Well-Being instructor, Maria Ojascastro, will provide materials, instructions, and samples to inspire creativity. Coffee, kombucha, tea, and wine will be available, along with some light snacks and refreshments.

In this art workshop, Art for Well-Being instructor Maria Ojascastro will guide participants through an exploration of monoprint techniques focusing on texture and using Gelli plate printmaking. Both novice and experienced artists will enjoy stretching their creativity and further exploring multimedia collaging while nibbling on light refreshments in this afternoon art workshop.
