Adolescence is generally a healthy time for many people, but some important social problems can start to appear or worsen during this developmental period, such as:
- Attention deficit disorders
- Mental disorders, such as depression or anxiety
- Weight problems or eating issues
Student health and academic achievement are correlated: healthy adolescents tend to be more effective learners. At PALM, we offer a Neurofeedback Student Package for students seeking to improve academic performance, or who have ADHD. Mental disorders can be addressed in a Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Initial Consult, which may focus on depression and anxiety management, well-being and life satisfaction optimization, stress reduction, or chronic illness management or treatment. Weight issues can be addressed in our intensive Weight Management Program, or with Nutritional Counseling.
