Chronic Fatigue

Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome are often debilitating conditions that share a number of symptoms such as aches, sleep disturbances and fatigue. These two conditions are causing a rise in disability rates disproportionate to our capacity to identify and treat them. 25% of people with fibromyalgia are considered disabled.

Practitioners of integrative medicine assume that there is no magic drug that serves as a single source cure for this syndrome. They assume that there are several sub-clinical problems working in conjunction with one another, like players in an orchestra. Viral infections, parasitic infections, Candida, hypoglycemia, food sensitivities, nutritional deficiencies, heavy metal toxicity, sick thyroid syndrome, and immune dysfunction can all play a role in orchestrating the cacophony of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia.

Prior to diagnosing either of these conditions, illnesses such as Lupus, severe anemia, severe heart disease, and kidney disorders have to be ruled out. Once the diagnosis of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or Fibromyalgia has been made, then listening to you, correcting your immune system, treating infections and establishing a good nutritional program for you are the pivotal approaches we use to help you to start the healing process. When anxiety and severe intolerances to foods and chemicals are overwhelming, we often start with a gentle approach called NAET.
