Pop-Up Class: Pilates for a Purpose

Want to fit in an extra Pilates workout this week and learn about an exciting upcoming event? Join us for a special Pilates pop-up class with expert guidance from Lisa Moore to stabilize and move your spine, strengthen your arms and legs, increase flexibility, and improve body awareness. This class will be the first in a series of strength training sessions leading up to this year’s Pedal the Cause event, a group bike ride to support cancer research. Whether you choose to participate in Pedal the Cause with us or not, you are welcome to enjoy this class.

Seminar: Detox From the Inside Out

Art Class: Impasto Painting

Mammography Screening

All PALM members ages 40 and older and their guests are invited to schedule a mammography screening with the Siteman Cancer Center Mammography Van, which will be parked in the PALM Health parking lot. The Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine offers mammograms at no cost to those who qualify. Funding is provided by Susan G. Komen® Missouri.

Pop-Up Class: Therapeutic Shoulder Flow

Shoulder mobility is an essential area of fitness to work on as you age. Your shoulders are key players in a lot of day-to-day activities, and if you play a sport like golf, tennis, or pickleball, they’re even more active. Join instructor Kim Winn for a special Therapeutic Shoulder Flow class, a yoga session that will focus on exercises to strengthen, stretch, and mobilize the shoulder girdle for greater range of motion and freedom of movement.

Seminar: The Longevity Blueprint: Understanding Aging and the Role of Lifestyle

Aging is unavoidable, but how you age is something you can define and improve with awareness and intentional change. Join neurologist Dr. Sita Kedia for an overview of the science behind the aging process, the types of lifestyle choices that influence aging, and actionable changes you can make now to slow (and even reverse) this process and increase your health span.

CIMT Testing Event

SATURDAY, MAY 9 · 8:00AM-3:00PM

The Carotid Intima Media Thickness (CIMT) test is a non-invasive diagnostic test used for the detection of early cardiovascular disease. This 15-minute test will help you understand your risk of cardiovascular disease, including heart attack or stroke. It consists of an ultrasound of your neck to check for plaque buildup in your carotid arteries. If you are not a PALM member, you will receive a complimentary 30-minute visit or phone call with a nurse practitioner to review your results. Available for members and non-members. Schedule a CIMT test for $325 with Medical Admin at 314-801-8898 option 2.
