Seminar: The Patterns We Fall Into: Why We Get Stuck

FRIDAY, JUNE 12 · 1:00-2:00PM

Why do we repeat the same patterns, even when we are ready for something to change? The answer emerging in psychology is both humbling and liberating. It suggests that much of what we call “choice” is more constrained than we like to imagine and that our difficulties are not always signs of weakness or failure. Join Dr. Nigel Lester, psychiatrist and Director of Mental Health at PALM, for a seminar exploring this fascinating phenomenon.

CIMT Testing

SATURDAY, JUNE 13 · 8:00AM-3:00PM

The Carotid Intima Media Thickness (CIMT) test is a non-invasive diagnostic test used for the detection of early cardiovascular disease. With this test you will receive the “age” of your arteries to help you understand your risk of cardiovascular disease, including heart attack or stroke. This can help you make a prevention or treatment plan with your doctor. The CIMT Test consists of an ultrasound of your neck to check for plaque buildup in your carotid arteries. It is a safe and painless test that only takes 10-15 minutes with a certified technician.
