Mary Druyvesteyn, PhD
MANAGER OF TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT, MEDITATION INSTRUCTOR
Mary is the Manager of Training and Development for staff at PALM and also teaches meditation classes that focus on breathing, mindfulness, decreasing anxiety, and deepening a natural connection to the world. Her specialties are Meditation: Silence of the Mind and Meditation: Union with Nature. Her approach allows individuals to calm the tensions and struggles in their thoughts, helping them to experience an increased sense of well-being. The techniques she uses allow individuals to learn how to open their five senses and alleviate feelings of loneliness or isolation. These contemplative practices are the foundation of meditation classes at PALM. Mary also currently works as the Chief Development Officer for Washington University Libraries.
