Are you finding it challenging to understand why you should develop a fitness routine or where to begin? In this seminar, personal trainers Katheryn Scauzzo and Andrew Tucker will provide motivation for individuals to start a new fitness routine and direction to develop a sound plan for implementing specific exercise goals.
What does a complete exercise regimen look like? Katheryn Scauzzo, our fitness lead, registered dietitian, and personal trainer, will discuss the different elements that should be incorporated into a well-rounded fitness plan, such as aerobic exercise, strength training, core exercises, balance training, and stretches for flexibility.
Form, footwear, and diet all play a part in being a healthy runner. Ashley Kumar, physical therapist, will discuss the ideal form for running as well as how to perform an effective warm-up and strength training program to prevent common running injuries. She will also discuss optimal nutrition for active runners, as well as the best footwear to improve runs.
“Head up, shoulders back!” We’ve all heard this order barked at us at least once from a well-meaning friend, teacher, or family member in order to help us improve our posture. But what does good posture really entail? And why should we care about our posture in the first place? Join Alinda Muszynski, certified personal trainer and well-being coach, for a seminar that will blend theory and practical exercises to help you become aware of and improve your own posture.
